my chucks go places: the old mill.

i love taking pictures of my shoes.

i feel like its a great expression of where you have been and where you are going in life. we never usually examine the ground we walk on, or the uniqueness of the places we walk everyday. i hope to make this a reoccurring segment here on the ragdoll diaries. pictures of all the places my chucks have been going lately, and focusing on beautiful places around me.

so this week, i chose to photograph an old mill i pass by on my way to tutoring. its a sad fact about the davidson area that there is a huge difference in the two sides of the railroad tracks. the college side had million dollar homes and oozes small town charm. the other side, well, is rather poor and unkempt. the change is drastic.

but this old mill is right over the tracks and is fascinating to photograph, all this old painted brick, smokestack, and overgrown lots. i think its beautiful.
