i do love a good style blog. i check the clothes horse, what i wore, modcloth, the sartorialist, constantly, and search tons other with all this newfound collegiate free time. they inspire me to try and stretch out of my tshirt-and-jeans daily outfits and try to be more fashionable. truly. i almost never wear skirts and dresses, and suddenly i want to wear them every day!
actually, couldn't help but snap a few shots via macbook today, as i felt especially fancy actually wearing a dress. [they would be better, but my camera had lost its charger. macbook it is.]
i have some new favorite fashions i'm trying to wear more of:
-vintage-styled [i truly need to go thrifting, i love old things]
-high-waists [harkens back to vintage, and i love that this actually is flattering on me!]
-layers! [ i'll need to put my band-tee collection to use somewhere, why not under a dress?]
-matte nails [i've never used much nail polish, but theres no harm in attempting to be girlie]
-tights [i always mix these up with stockings]
-blazers [see layers]
i do have some issues with style blogs though. it seems that these bloggers always have a different outfit for every day, and can spend lots of money on clothing every week. i dont know about everybody else, but as a poor college student, there is not way for me to do that.
part of me really wants to start blogging my styling days [at least once i get a camera again], but if i do, i'd want to show fashion that is much more conceivable for every day. i can't wear a completely different thing every day, and i love my jeans and tshirts. plus, i don't have the money to buy a ton of fancy clothes in the first place. i shop at american eagle, urban outfitters, old navy, just like most people, but who says i can't make that stylish?
if this set of ramblings turns into a fashion blog, it would be to showcase a more relaxed, less girly, everyday fashion, a way to look good in jeans, or how to wear a charity tshirt stylishly [ i have even more of those than band tshirts, oh dear!].
i guess thats my personal style.
